Why it makes no sense at all to me why anyone would get a new bike toss the closed loop system then say "oh i need to get it mapped now" when the closed loop system does that for you on the fly at all times no matter where you are or what altitude? why you paid more money for the bike. these older bikes are open loop FI systems Ī "map" or reflashed ECU is a preset for whatever conditions and mods were on said bike where this map was developed, I've never seen these reflash guys ask what altitude do you want it flashed for what temp so on so forth, just mods and maybe eliminate this or increase RPM and advance timing whatever, crank fan on earlier. altitude, air temp so on so forth, also things like engine compression all that, very specific to said bike. A dyno tune will dial in the tune for wherever you are and your specific bike, mods and conditions whatever, conditions can be.
